Moving to or from Liberty, the Oldest Town in Clay County
Liberty has been the Clay County seat since 1822, and it shows in the housing. Homes from the 1850s sit a few blocks from the Square, while subdivisions off I-35 are still being built out. Movers in Liberty have to be ready for both.

What Moving in Liberty, MO Actually Involves
Liberty grew in layers, and each layer moves differently. The Jewell-Lightburne Historic District, roughly between North Jewell Street, East Mill Street, Main Street and Gordon Street, holds 236 contributing buildings dating from 1852 to 1946. Those Queen Anne and Craftsman homes have narrow staircases, tight door frames and small landings, so we bring extra door jamb padding and often carry large pieces by hand. Street parking near the Square is limited, so we plan the truck spot before move day.
Mid-century and later ranches and split-levels make up much of the housing between the downtown grid and MO-291. Most have a garage and a driveway long enough for the truck, which keeps load times short. Established neighborhoods such as Claywoods and Hills of Oakwood fall in this group.
North of MO-152, around the Liberty Triangle and toward Liberty North High School, the housing is newer. Subdivisions like Clay Meadows and Homestead of Liberty are still adding homes, which means unfinished streets, builder debris and sometimes no house number on the mailbox yet. We confirm the lot address with you the day before.
Downtown Kansas City is about 17 miles away on I-35, and MO-152 connects Liberty to I-29 and the airport. Liberty's closest neighbors are Gladstone, Kearney and Smithville.

Pantheon removed our furniture from house to garage and basement. When our construction was done they came back and moved everything back. The crews of JJ and Garrison 1st half and Joe and Carlos 2nd half were respectful, careful with everything and got the job done quickly. I would recommend them anytime.

They packed the items, were kind and courteous, and did not take a break allll day. As happens in a move that size, two (unsentimental) items were bumped. We needed to move an estate from a storage unit to an auction barn. Christian and his crew arrived right when promised and immediately proceeded to prepare to load the truck. They showed such respect for our property. They blanket wrapped the delicate items and shrink wrapped the other items. They were all work and never took a break. The people I dealt with from the beginning phone call to the subsequent phone calls, to the movers themselves were friendly, kind and more than willing to accommodate any and all issues I had. I am on my own and use a cane most of the time. As quite often happens when moving, I was on a time table. I was moving from my home of forty years, and I have had very little experience with the whole process of moving. Pantheon, and especially the movers themselves went over and above to take the stress an anxiety of the whole process of moving off me. They truly made me feel like it was all going to be fine (ie... Pantheon helped us with two moves for an estate sale. The first weekend we moved a pool table. The workers took extra care to take it apart, move it to a new home and reassemble and balance it. It was not an easy task and they handled it with care and professionalism. The next weekend they moved some antique furniture to two different homes. The antiques were precious to us and Pantheon treated it as such. We were very pleased with their service and recommend their services highly!

Yes, we move homes in the historic district regularly. The older houses there have steep, narrow stairs and original woodwork, so we pad every door jamb and banister and carry large furniture by hand where a dolly will not fit. We also check the street ahead of time, since curb space near the Square is tight.
We do, including small apartment moves near campus and family moves for faculty and staff. August move-in and the end of the spring term are the busiest weeks around the college, so book early for those dates. Labor-only loading for a rented truck or container is also available.

No, but it takes a little planning. New streets in Clay Meadows, Homestead of Liberty and similar developments often have no posted house numbers, and construction traffic can block the curb. We confirm the lot address and a landmark with you the day before and size the truck for an unfinished street.
Most moves inside Liberty or between Liberty and nearby Clay County cities like Gladstone or Kearney finish in a single day, since little of the time is spent on the road. Large homes with finished basements sometimes need a second day, and we tell you that at the estimate.

We are seniors and one has a disability. We paid to have everything packed for us. 50% things made it fine but Our other 50% were not treated carefully. Chord to golf cart charger taken off and wrapped around chain saw. Damaging it so it won’t hold a charge. When they were putting our 65 inch tv back together worker admitted he threw screws away. So tv couldn’t be stood up on stand. Adjustable bed for disability, the worker did not keep the mattress brace with the bed. Lost somehow? Missing part to washing machine that keeps door from leaking Company fell back on the we replace only 60 cents per weight of item. Sent me screws that don’t fit tv so won’t stand . Didn’t replace damaged chord. Lied and said they couldn’t replace it as it was no longer sold. (I looked online and charger still for sale so chord could be ordered) They sent a tiny charger that is not safe to use ezgo cart. I talked to golf cart shop and they advised not to use the charger as good damage it. Pantheon told me I was choosing not to use it. They continued to only communicate thru texts. I have decided it’s not worth my health to continue to try to fix issues of companies negligence. I replaced and bought all things damaged. They said they didnt damge furniture. I have 3 stain glass lamps that were laid on side and are crushed in on sides where glass is. I’m done. The day they worked 12 hours is because they moved us 4 hours away. And then unpacked and couldnt find things they lost. I gave the. $100 for dinner that night. The company even threatened me that bad google review was a breach of contract.I am sure they knew they would wear me down. Seniors beware.

I was very disappointed in your team. both the dispatcher and the 2-man team. I was quoted 2.5 hours, and I understand that is an estimate. however, when I can tell that it's going to be almost double that there's an issue. your 2-man team moved very slow I had to help them and once I did, they picked up the pace. your dispatcher would not take reasonability for the failure of proper estimating. as well as not being willing to own up and find a solution. your drivers got lost twice they did take that time off. I can saw for a fact that if my wife and I didn't help them it would've taken them at least 4 hours.I would really like to see some ownership from your leadership team. and a partial refund for my time that I used to help your team. that's the only reason that we completed the task in the 2.5 hours I was quoted in the phone calls and emails.your supposed to be a 5-star company I was highly unimpressed let's see if your leadership team can redeem your company a little bit and I will revise my review.

I hired them for moving labor only, which was by the hour. The guys were on time and friendly. They worked non-stop the whole time. The were very careful and respectful with my belongings. I would recommend and use them again.
We hired Pantheon Moving for our relocation from Independence to Lee’s Summit, Missouri, on June 28, 2025. I had met the owner, Andrew, at a local event and got a reasonable quote, so we decided to go with them.On moving day, three crew members arrived. Unfortunately, one appeared inexperienced and walked off the job mid-move while his coworkers were calling for him. More concerning was the significant damage to several items, most notably our washing machine, which was damaged beyond repair during transport.Andrew came out the same day to inspect the damage, and we agreed to a $150 discount at that time. However, once we hooked up the washer in our new home, it leaked badly from the back — an issue clearly caused by the move itself, not installation. I emailed Andrew about this additional damage on June 29, 2025, but received no response until July 24, 2025 (nearly a month later).While the initial pricing was fair and Andrew was responsive in person on moving day, the crew issues, substantial damage, and delayed follow-up on the claim left us disappointed and out of pocket for a major appliance. This was ultimately not resolved to my satisfaction or in a timely manner. We would not recommend Pantheon Moving.Note for potential customers: Their Bill of Lading includes a clause (Section 7) encouraging customers to resolve issues privately before posting public reviews. I attempted to do so via email but experienced a long delay.

Pantheon removed our furniture from house to garage and basement. When our construction was done they came back and moved everything back. The crews of JJ and Garrison 1st half and Joe and Carlos 2nd half were respectful, careful with everything and got the job done quickly. I would recommend them anytime.
From the initial call to completion of our move, Pantheon staff were uniquely professional throughout our experience. Communication was exceptional, from emails to texts to always having access to staff on the phone. Pantheon was transparent about their fees, which were very competitive, and we had no surprises with hidden/unexpected costs. The moving team individually introduced themselves to my family and me, and despite a very challenging physical move, they were always available and knowledgeable in respect to our questions/comments. The work ethic of the moving team....Terrance, Carlos, MJ and later back ups Marcos and Garrison....was a standout quality of Pantheon. My family will certainly have Pantheon top of mind for any future moves.
Reply: I am referring to the correct company. It was the weekend rate.Original post: I wasnt that happy with the service. They were nice but if I’m paying $4 a minute, I expect two professionals. One of the two was 18 and seemed very new to the profession, often standing around waiting for direction. I didn’t appreciate that they were on their phones a lot too, texting and having long phone calls. Again, nice guys but please don’t expect me to pay you $4 a minute while your taking 20 minute phone calls.
Great experience. I called for a last minute move and they got me on the schedule the very next day. Very professional and well priced. Will use again.
Pantheon Moving was an absolute pleasure to work with. Before my move they answered all of my questions promptly and helped me prepare in the best possible way. During the move the "guys" were prompt, professional and handled everything in the best possible way. The quote that they gave me originally for my move was exactly what I paid. Pantheon Moving moved our HUGE 950 pound safe with ease! They were able to get it into the house in the basement with NO issues! Highly recommend for specialty moving and ALL your moving needs!!!
The team was responsive, responsible, careful with our items, and made the process of moving out of our house of 20 years almost … fun. They packed the items, were kind and courteous, and did not take a break allll day. As happens in a move that size, two (unsentimental) items were bumped. Unlike so many moving companies, they immediately brought it to our attention took responsibility and ensured it was resolved to our satisfaction. We had a pleasant experience and have already used them again for a smaller moving and junk removal projects.
I needed my basement cleaned out, and it ended up being a little more than I needed to do on my own! Andrew came out immediately, and him and his crew loaded my 30 yard dumpster to the brim! Thank you so much for the help!
This is a great company to work with! We needed some furniture picked up and brought to our office. They were quick and reasonably priced. They were careful with the furniture and had it wrapped well. I will definitely continue to use their services if needed and recommend them to others.
We needed to move an estate from a storage unit to an auction barn. Christian and his crew arrived right when promised and immediately proceeded to prepare to load the truck. They showed such respect for our property. They blanket wrapped the delicate items and shrink wrapped the other items. They were all work and never took a break. The most professional movers that we have ever dealt with. If the need arises, I'll use them again.
The people I dealt with from the beginning phone call to the subsequent phone calls, to the movers themselves were friendly, kind and more than willing to accommodate any and all issues I had. I am on my own and use a cane most of the time. As quite often happens when moving, I was on a time table. I was moving from my home of forty years, and I have had very little experience with the whole process of moving. Pantheon, and especially the movers themselves went over and above to take the stress an anxiety of the whole process of moving off me. They truly made me feel like it was all going to be fine (ie... We got you Miss Jenny). Considering all the circumstances and all that needed to be done, they succeeded in making me feel like it was so much easier than I know it actually was. THANK YOU PANTHEON, AND ESPECIALLY THOSE GRACIOUS AND WONDERFUL HUMORED MOVERS!
Pantheon helped us with two moves for an estate sale. The first weekend we moved a pool table. The workers took extra care to take it apart, move it to a new home and reassemble and balance it. It was not an easy task and they handled it with care and professionalism. The next weekend they moved some antique furniture to two different homes. The antiques were precious to us and Pantheon treated it as such. We were very pleased with their service and recommend their services highly!
Christian and Marcos were very friendly and did a great job getting the safe down to the basement. They were very knowledgeable and gentle. There was no damage to anything.
Andrew and his partner (I didn’t catch her name) were very thoughtful, careful, and effective moving our complicated pool table. We have already booked another job with Pantheon!

From beginning to finish the provided customer service and communication was exceptional. Any unexpected issues from my end were met with thoughtful accommodation and generous flexibility. Nothing was broken or damaged and everything was accounted for. If I had to choose a moving company to help me move in a time-sensitive situation again, Pantheon Moving would definitely be the one!
I HIGHLY recommend Pantheon for your moving experience. They were prompt and efficient. I was SO stressed out about hiring someone unknown to me. They were higher than the other quotes who kept harassing me to make a quick decision and wanted "money down" to book my move. You pay when your things arrive. They sent someone to personally come and look at what the move would consist of. No high pressure, no money up front.
Highly recommend! I had a treadmill that needed to be picked up from storage in one location and moved into another location and everything was seamless. This was my first experience hiring movers and I couldn't recommend these guys more! I will definitely be using them again in the future.

I just had a couple of large liberty safes moved from the garage down to the basement by Pantheon Gun Safe Movers. Christian, Jo and Ebele proved to be the "A team" of safe movers doing an excellent job working there magic. I highly recommend these guys for and heavy moving. I wish I could get the videos to upload.
