Commercial Receiving Warehouse in Kansas City
Freight received, unboxed, inspected, and documented before it ever reaches your client.
Freight received, unboxed, inspected, and documented before it ever reaches your client.
When a freight carrier drops a pallet at a job site, nobody opens it. Nobody checks it. The damage gets discovered weeks later on installation day, in front of your client, with no way to prove when it happened. By then the claim window may have closed and the replacement lead time has pushed your whole project back.
Pantheon Moving operates a receiving warehouse in Kansas City that removes that risk from your projects. Your vendors ship directly to our facility. Our crew accepts the delivery, unboxes every piece, inspects it against your order, photographs any problem, and stores the item safely until your install date. You find out about a cracked mirror or a manufacturer defect while there is still time to do something about it.
We are a locally owned, family operated carrier founded in 2022, with a team carrying more than 25 combined years in the moving and logistics business. Every person handling your freight is a full time, background checked employee. We do not broker your shipments and we do not staff our warehouse with day laborers.
We accept freight, LTL, and parcel shipments at our Kansas City facility during business hours. Each shipment is logged against your project or account so you always know what has landed and what is still in transit.
Our crew removes the packaging and inspects each item for transit damage, manufacturer defects, wrong finishes, missing hardware, and quantity discrepancies. This is the step standard carriers skip entirely.
Anything that arrives wrong gets photographed and sent to you the same day, with notes on what we found. You get the evidence you need to open a claim or reorder immediately rather than a month later.
Cleared items are re wrapped in moving blankets and stretch wrap, then stored in our organized warehouse space until your construction timeline, client schedule, or install date is ready.
You can check what we are holding for a given project at any time. When you are ready, we schedule delivery, room placement, and assembly through our final mile delivery service.
Interior designers use us as their receiving house so client furniture never sits on a driveway or in a garage waiting for install day. Home stagers store rotating inventory between properties. Furniture, lighting, and appliance retailers use us to handle high value pieces that need checking before they go out to a customer. General contractors and commercial buyers send fixtures and equipment to us during the messy middle of a build, when the site itself is no place for a finished product. We serve the full Kansas City metro on both sides of the state line, from Independence and Liberty on the Missouri side to Overland Park, Leawood, and Olathe in Kansas.
The cost of a receiving warehouse in Kansas City is small next to the cost of a failed installation. A sofa that arrives with a torn arm is an inconvenience if you learn about it in March and a crisis if you learn about it the morning of the reveal. Receiving moves the discovery earlier, which is the only part of the process you actually control. It also protects your relationship with the client. When something goes wrong with a delivery, the client does not blame the freight carrier they have never heard of. They blame the professional who chose that carrier. Handing that step to a crew that documents everything keeps you out of that conversation.
No. We handle both one off project receiving and ongoing account partnerships. If you send us freight regularly, an account arrangement makes scheduling and billing simpler, but it is not required to get started.
Short term and long term storage are both available. Most design and construction projects hold inventory for a few weeks to several months. Tell us your expected timeline when you book and we will confirm pricing for that window.
We photograph the damage, note what we found, and send it to you the same day. We hold the item and its original packaging so you have what you need to file a claim with the shipper or manufacturer. We do not file the claim on your behalf, but we give you the documentation that supports it.

Yes. Fragile and high value pieces get individual handling, careful unboxing, and closer inspection. They are re wrapped individually and stored with correct orientation. If a piece needs custom crating for its onward move, we can coordinate that during planning.
Pricing depends on volume, the size and fragility of the items, how long you need storage, and whether you are also booking delivery and installation. Call us at (913) 256-5515 or request a quote online and we will put together a number based on your actual project.
